Profiles in Pawn: Lisa Little, CPP

Lisa Little CPP

"Lisa Little is one of the most generous and friendly pawnbrokers I've ever met. She is a wealth of knowledge and always eager to pitch in wherever needed. She's an asset to the pawn community and we are blessed to have her wisdom and guidance in the industry."

Lisa Little, a native of Conyers, Georgia, has been a passionate member of the pawn industry for over 30 years. After attending the University of Georgia, Lisa returned home to Conyers to find her calling – and after dabbling in insurance and real estate stumbled upon the pawn industry.

In 1987 she co-founded Fieldstone Jewelry & Pawn with her father, John Little, and never looked back. Together she and her father opened a chain of four pawn shops, along with many other business ventures including many commercial real estate investments and a storage rental company.

As a pawnbroker she is constantly seeking to connect with her customers and her community, always looking at the pawn shop and those who visit it as part of the family.

After her father passed away in 2013, Lisa became CEO of all of the family businesses, including the company’s remaining flagship store in Conyers. She continues to be inspired daily by her late father’s passion and drive – and strives to honor his legacy.

In 2018 she became the first woman in the nation to become a Certified Pawn Professional® and currently serves on the National Pawnbrokers Association (NPA) Board of Directors and the NPA CPP® Board of Governors.

Lisa loves helping individuals and companies realize their dreams. Through pawn loans, private mortgages and one-to-one new business owner counseling, Lisa hopes to help others build their own personal legacies, one dream at a time.

She’s beloved by so many colleagues and is known for her calm and empathetic input to any conversation, particularly Zoom committee meetings where she may or may not use a creative background. While Lisa brings her signature smile and easy humor to any conversation that she’s a part of, no one could ever mistake her seriousness about her dedication to the pawn industry. She tirelessly works to make things better for all pawnbrokers, whether by mentoring others, establishing a supportive Facebook group for women in the industry, or re-establishing the Georgia Pawnbrokers Association

In her spare time Lisa loves spending time with her two daughters, traveling, and serving as a Bible class teacher and youth education coordinator at her church. She also loves genealogy and all things Jane Austen.

And of course, she never misses an opportunity to attend pawn events or stop by pawnshops wherever she goes, usually accompanied by colleagues from her wide circle of friends:
