Midwest 2023: A recap
The 32nd annual Midwest Pawn Convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana, May 19-21, 2023. Known as a show that’s historically packed full of actionable education, this year’s program featured speakers ranging from Artificial Intelligence to Politics and the Pawnbroker.
This year, the Krupnik-Stempkowski Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Jerry Whitehead for outstanding contributions, dedication, and a lifetime of giving to the pawnbroker community. In accepting the award, Whitehead stated, “Fifty years in the industry is a blessing in my life, and I am so thankful for this wonderful journey we call life and the Midwest Convention for bestowing this amazing recognition for me. It warms my entire soul and heart!”
Also receiving an award was Jay Kantor, Exhibitor of the Year, with gratitude for his unfailing support of the Midwest Pawn Convention.
