Hats off to our passport participants!

Texas Cowboy Hats at Pawn Expo
Tradeshows are a big expense for exhibitors, so every conversation really counts. That’s why, at this year’s Pawn Expo event in Forth Worth, we offered a game that served as an ice-breaker for both the sales teams and attendees.

The concept was simple. Attendees received a printed copy of the Passport Game at The Pawnbroker Network booth, which featured a map of the exhibit hall space where participating vendors were marked with a pin. They then proceeded to each one of the marked booths to get a stamp. Once they received all of the stamps to fill their passport, they returned to the Pawnbroker Network’s booth for a custom-fit Texas Cowboy hat.

Jerry Whitehead, founder of Pawnshop Consulting Group [pawnshopconsultinggroup.com] has been attending Pawn Expo for decades and said, “As a result of the promotion, we had many new FaceTime visitors to our booth and stirred up a bunch of potential new prospects!”

Other participating exhibitors were Entrupy [entrupy.com], which offers the world’s best luxury authentication solution, The Jewelry Appraisal and Gemological Institute (JAGi) [jagilab.com], which provides a full range of gemstone and jewelry reports and appraisals. Also participating were Worldwide Diamonds, one of the largest buyers and sellers of secondary-market diamonds and jewelry in the USA, and Geib Refining [geibrefining.com], which enjoys an excellent reputation for integrity and reliability, supported by many satisfied customers.

Dave Griffiths and his company, The Consultants [theconsultants.com], are known as the gold standard in compliance consulting for pawnbrokers and were a participating passport exhibitor. Also featured was Jewelers Mutual / Wexler Insurance, two of the most recognized names in the jewelry insurance market, combining nearly 160 years of expertise, products, and services [jewelersmutual.com/wexler]

“So many cowboy and cowgirls, all looking so good, what an awesome turn out to our booth from this promotion!” shared first-time exhibitor Anish Desai, adding, “We got an over-the-moon response and are looking forward to helping pawnbrokers implement TextMeChat!” More information is available about TextMeChat at their website textmechat.com.

Rounding out the list of participating exhibitors was Bravo Store Systems, the first provider in the industry to offer a platform that integrates all of a pawnshops’ operations and customer interactions across all channels.
