In our opinion, there is no other state that is so diverse. There are 6 different regions in Texas, each with its own distinct beauty and endless attractions. The Piney Woods region, which is mostly referred to as East Texas, is where eight of our twelve Insta-Cash pawnshops are located. In this beautiful area, the rolling hills and tall pine trees are abundant.

One of the main attractions here is fishing in one of the many lakes where record-breaking bass, catfish, and crappie await you.

Four of our Insta-Cash Pawnshops are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, which is in the Texas Prairies and Lakes region. There are so many options of things to do, it is difficult to decide what to fit in a weekend trip.

One of our favorites in Ft. Worth is a little district downtown called Sundance Square. There are wonderful quaint little shops where you can buy anything from jewelry and hats to cigars, sweet treats, and colored glass. One favorite is The Virgin Olive Oiler, where you can find all kinds of infused olive oils and vinegars, specialty foods, honey, and gourmet salts. Near Sundance Square are the Ft. Worth Water Gardens; a beautiful oasis that is a perfect place to go on a hot summer day.

Now, where else in the U.S. can you see a cattle drive in the middle of a downtown city? I would venture to say nowhere but Texas. The Ft. Worth Stockyards to be exact. They have cattle drives every day if the weather allows. The Stockyards are also a great place to find all things Texas with the collection of western shops that they have there.  For eats, there is barbeque, Tex-Mex, Italian, or just about anything else you can think of to satisfy your appetite.

I would be remiss if I did not at least mention Billy Bob’s Texas Honky Tonk (the world’s largest of course). For starters, the place is 3 acres of fun including a rodeo arena, dance floor, multiple bars, and a restaurant. They even have live bull riding competitions. They host live concerts there and have a “Wall of Fame” with celebrity handprints. Did you know that Ft. Worth is the only place in the U.S. besides Washington DC that prints money? The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is open to the public and even offers tours of the facility where you can see billions of dollars of U.S. currency.

For those who would like a less conventional but fun way to tour Ft. Worth, you might try a Fort Worth scavenger hunt adventure. There is one that starts at the courthouse and takes you by historic monuments, great artwork, and the water gardens. Another is based in the Stockyards area and is aptly called “The Cowtown Boogie”.

Lastly, there is the Ft. Worth Bar Hunt, which needs no explanation. In each adventure, you use your cell phone to get clues and complete challenges! It is a great activity for groups!

Whatever your interests, there is something for everyone in Ft. Worth Texas.

We hope you enjoy our southern hospitality!
