Pawnbroker Network Named Pawn Industry Image Award Winner

Thank you to the National Pawnbrokers Association. We believe everything happens for a reason and if it weren’t for the NPA, we would never have met one another, and the Pawnbroker Network would not be what it is today.

If you know you know that this recognition is not something we take lightly. But the truth is that this award doesn’t really belong to us.

It belongs to the awkward middle school student who found his confidence by joining the band and later grew up to be one of the most successful pawnbrokers anywhere who has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars and tens of thousands of instruments to students across the state where he lives.

It belongs to the generational pawnbrokers whose commitment to their customers and community has made them an award-winning destination for customers across the country and an icon for their industry peers. Now, they’re launching into supporting major projects that focus on mental health for underserved communities.

It belongs to the 6-store chain whose business celebrated its 30th anniversary by funding the first home in a new village being built for formerly homeless Veterans.

It belongs to the state association that saved itself and its members by the skin of their teeth with a complex effort that boils down to three simple words–JUST SAY PAWN.

We are a marketing and PR firm.

Clients pay us to grow their businesses, plan events, and tell their stories in the marketplace.

They also rely on us to help them navigate tough times–like PR crises.

…Like the pawnbroker who called in the middle of the night because their store had burned to the ground.

…Or the pawnshop that had 12 firearms stolen overnight.

…Or the pawnbroker who, alongside his wife, had poured their hearts out to a local reporter they thought was friendly before realizing too late that they were part of a USA Today expose focused on how ATF allegedly took it easy on FFLs.

You see, we believe that pawnbrokers deserve access to experienced communications professionals. You should never settle for less just because you work in a little-known field.

We also believe that consumers deserve access to reputable pawnshops. They shouldn’t settle for less either.

We want you to be successful because we know that people in your community need you. This is one industry with many voices. Perhaps there’s no one who understands this better than us.

We have stood firmly on the principle that pawnbroking is bigger than any one person. And it’s bigger than any single group or segment. It’s tens of thousands of men and women who work in and around pawn counters every single day. It’s people like you.

And millions of customers who rely on them. Who rely on you.

Pawnshops are street-level barometers of how things are going in the world around us. And the people who work in them are commodities traders for everyone.

We aren’t here to revolutionize the industry.

We aren’t here to teach you all of the ways you’re doing it wrong.

We’re not here with silver bullets for million-dollar ideas.

We’re just here to tell your stories. And we’re grateful to be able to do so.
